All of our rhythmic gymnastics classes at the recreational and competitive levels are conducted by experienced, dedicated and NCCP certified coaches. As a Rhythmic Gymnastics Club our mission is to promote excellence in motion, and to create strong, healthy, self- confident and happy athletes whose sense of accomplishment will last a lifetime.

Danuta Smiechowski

Club Founder & Head Coach

Danuta is the head coach of the Etobicoke Olympium Rhythmic Gymnastics Club which she founded in 1986. She is a former Polish National Team Member with a Master’s Degree in Physical Education and Coaching Degree from University of Physical Education in Gdansk Poland.

In 2003 Danuta was awarded Canadian Coach of the year Award.
Danuta has guided her gymnasts to win many championships.

Margaret Wichrowska

Margaret is a former Polish competitive gymnast. She joined Olympium Rhythmic Gymnastics Club coaching staff in 1992, and has coached the InterClub and Provincial level gymnasts ever since. Margaret has been the coach of many individual and group Provincial Champions. She holds the Brevet Judging Licence.

Ana Cecilia Campos Paras

A former National Competitive Gymnast in Mexico, as well as a certified Personal Trainer. Ana started as a coach of recreational and competitive gymnasts in 2004. She loves sharing her passion for fitness and movement. She joined Olympium RGC in 2013, bringing another NCCP certification to our team.

Maria Losinskaya

Former Olympium RGC competitive gymnast. Maria began to coach recreational programs at the Olympium RGC in 2019. She is deeply dedicated to her students; developing them through her passion and love for the sport.

Angelina Brezhneva

Former Ukrainian competitive gymnast, started her journey with rhythmic gymnastics from the age of four. Angelina joined the Olympium RGC coaching staff as an assistant coach in 2022 and works with pre competitive level gymnasts.

Maryna Verbetska

Former competitive gymnast of Derugina’s School in Ukraine and Master of Sports in Rhythmic Gymnastics. Graduated from Dnepropetrovsk State University of Physical and Sports with a Teacher’s Diploma in 2004. Maryna joined Olympium RGC as an assistant coach in 2023.
